What are your responsibilities?
Develop and lead the vision and execution of Touchstone.
What were some of your prior job positions?
After graduating from Miami University, in beautiful Oxford, Ohio, I moved to Indianapolis, IN and managed my twin brother’s bar. Following that unhealthy lifestyle, I moved to Cincinnati and took a Sales & Marketing job with Aztec Environmental (owned by my girlfriends dad – now father –in-law). Then borrowed $30K and started The Aztec Group, Inc.
Do you have any awards or honors?
Dad of the year, every year :-). Professionally Touchstone has been recognized as one of Cincinnati’s Fastest Growing Company’s 2007 & 2008. Personally recognized as one of Cincinnati’s top Forty Under Forty business leaders, 2008.
Where are you from?
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Home of the 1988 Winter Olympics and summer home of my family during my father’s 16 year professional hockey career.
Did you attend college, if so where?
Miami University in beautiful Oxford, Ohio. Never taken next step to MBA… maybe when I retire.
Tell us about your family?
Married:
Wife Missy of 11 years... the love of my life :-). Fell on Missy at a hockey late night party in college and the rest is history.
Children:
3 little buddies: Julia-7, Carson-6, Marley-3
Tell us about your interestes / hobbies?
I spent so many years playing hockey and came from a hockey family... for sure hockey. Also enjoy golfing, when I have the time. And enjoy spending time with any sport the kids are playing and want to play. Oh yeah, have a crazy wine collection, enjoy that too, especially the consuming.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The people I get to “go and make it happen with” everyday.
